Showtime

Time to link up with Deb's Wordless Wednesday Disney photo hop.

Focused on the Magic
The theme for this week is "Showtime."

(Blackhawks fans, when I heard this theme I have to admit the first thing that came to mind was Patrick Kane's famous utterances. I love this Kaner gif! But this is a Disney-themed photo hop so we will keep things on point. =) )

My favorite nighttime show at Disney is Epcot's "IllumiNations - Reflections of Earth." It's an absolute must-see for me anytime I visit Disney World. I love it so much that I bought the soundtrack on CD.

Here is one of my few reasonably-clear snapshots of IllumiNations. It so does NOT do it justice:

My second-favorite nighttime show at Disney is Fantasmic. I've seen it at both Disneyland and at Hollywood Studios and it's spectacular at both locations. I also own the Fantasmic soundtrack on CD. ;-P

Again, I only have a couple of reasonably-clear pictures from Fantasmic. Here is one:

I've only seen World of Color at Disneyland once. Unfortunately, my spectator angle wasn't very good. I look forward to going back and seeing it again someday soon!

My fellow Disney fans, what say you? What is your favorite Disney nighttime show?

  1. The one Disney show I want to see is World of Color. Disneyland is two hours behind my normal time so it's hard for me to adjust, and by night time, I'm tired from being in the parks all day.

    1. All hail to those of us that reside on Central Time! Visiting the parks takes a lot of energy indeed, so that time change to Pacific Time does wreak havoc for the night shows! But on the flip side - it makes it much easier to arrive at the park gates right at the open. =)

  2. We were very lucky to see Fantasmic in both locations. My fear is that we will go to Hollywood Studios during a week that Mickey is working and doing the show in California. It's not like he can be in two places at once!

    1. Mickey is one hardworking mouse! I can't even begin to think of how he does those shows in Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, the cruiselines, Hawaii, etc., etc., etc. Yet he still managed to be there to grand marshall the start of the Wine and Dine and the Disneyland Half! Whew!!!

  3. I love Fantasmic too. My mum gets so excited whenever we watch it, and now we are going in October to take my two girls too. Happy times.

    1. Oh my gosh, October is such a wonderful time to go to the parks! (Although, there really is no bad time, right?!?!?) It'll be so fun to see the parks all decked out in the Halloween decorations. I wish you a spectacular trip!!!!!

  4. *sigh* I don't have enough Disney experience to have a favorite. I can say, however, that I've been to Disney in CA, FL and HK (Hong Kong)!! :-D

    1. Natalie, if you've been to Disney in three locations, you have PLENTY of Disney experience! It must have been such an incredible experience to visit Disney in Hong Kong! I'd love to hear more about it when we catch up next month in person. =D
