Recently I found out about
Deb's Disney photo linkup. Needless to say, I was super excited to join in the fun!
This week's theme is "Photo Flashback."
Since I am always in runner mode, I will share some throwback photos from the
2013 Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon and the
2014 Disneyland Half Marathon.

What are some of your Disney favorites? Movies, music, parks, food, characters? Anything is game!

Great pictures!! I love seeing behind the scenes of the races. You must had such a magical time. Disney pulled out all the stops for those races!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deb! The Run Disney races are absolutely amazing. Since Disney is so experienced in dealing with crowds, things were incredibly well organized, too. And the finisher's medals are to die for!
DeleteI never knew that Disney held so many marathons! Great pics! #DisneyWordlessWednesday
ReplyDeleteThank you! YES - Disney has a whole bunch of different races, and they've been wildly popular so they have been adding more of them, as well. They are amazing events!
DeleteI am a huge Disney fan and a WDW half started my running obsession. So, I'm very partial to their races. I mean - how do you top that, right? Back in those days, they didn't sell out like they do now either. Boo.
ReplyDeleteI've heard of many folks who ran a Disney race just for fun, and then ended up getting hooked on running afterwards! Seriously, you can't top Disney for organizing top notch events in every facet of the world! I am amazed at how quickly the Disney races sell out these days, too. At some point they may have to go to a registration lottery system (hopefully not anytime soon!)
DeleteI love runDisney race photos! I was at that same Wine & Dine race, it was a wonderful experience!
ReplyDeleteRunDisney is the best! So cool that you were at Wine and Dine in 2013 - wasn't it amazing? We had perfect weather that night. Were you at Wine and Dine last year when it rained the whole time?!?
DeleteGreat pics! I love the Jeff Galloway shot. I ran into him while walking through the Poly, after running my very first rD race. I told him how I was only able to do it thanks to his method- he was very gracious and kind.
ReplyDeleteThanks KJ!!! Jeff Galloway is an incredibly down-to-earth, friendly, and humble man. His run-walk method is fantastic! I use it during my training runs and it has been a lifesaver for me when the miles get mind-numbing!
DeleteWonderful shots, love seeing all the fun things that are included in Disney races!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Disney really pulls out all the stop for their races - you can tell how much attention they put to every detail, just as they do for all of the operations. =)
DeleteLove the pics and of course love run disney! Still want to do Wine and Dine probably won't happen for a few years though!
ReplyDeleteKayla!!! You are the queen of the Disney races - I am still amazed that you ran Goofy! Let's definitely put more Disney races on the list to meet up at again in the future! Wine and Dine is always awesome and the post-race party is AMAZING. I think you would LOVE it!
DeleteHaha, I am still amazed I did Goofy as well. Of course more disney races would be awesome and of course seeing you at a race again would be awesome! Need to save up for a little while now though...plus the races are selling out crazy fast! I heard Wine and Dine sold out in 30 minutes this year! Craziness!
DeleteHoly cow... 30 minutes?!?! I seriously wonder at what point Disney is going to go to a lottery registration system! Their races just keep getting more and more popular!
DeleteI love the photo with Lilo & Stitch!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!!! Stitch is one of my VERY favorite Disney characters, and I have thought about dressing up as Lilo while running Disney races. =)
DeleteGreat pics! I bet is was extra magical running through the Osbourne lights!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jodi! YES - the Osbourne lights was one of the very top highlights of the course!!! So many folks stopped to take pictures in that area!
